香港の観光ガイド＠ANA
香港行きのANA便に乗ると、ごくたまにですが、香港のガイドブックが配られます。ごくたまに、というのは、ここのところ連続的に香港に出張に来ていて、いつもANAを使うのですが5回に1回くらいの割合で香港のガイドブックが貰えるからです。恐らく客室添乗員に「香港のガイドブック下さい」というと貰えると思います。
香港のガイドブックといっても、20ページくらいの非常にシンプルなものです。その中でも、最初の方のページにある「Best of the Best 香港料理大賞2006」というのが気になります。そこに、炒め物部門、蒸し料理部門、スイート＆サワー料理部門、海鮮と野菜料理部門と分けられています。それぞれ、店の名前と、別のページですが地図があります。最後のページにはクーポンもついています。
実際に香港在住の人に聞いてみたところ、、、、いまいちの反応。チェーン店も含まれていて、香港現地の人にしてみればあまりおいしくないとか・・・・・。ちょっとがっかり。
よく考えてみれば、ANAの香港ガイドでクーポンがついてるのは、何かしらの提携があるから？
実際に、その友達は日本人をつれてとあるハッピーバレーの店につれていったら、「飲み放題メニュー」があって、店内は比較的日本人が多かったとの事。。。。。うーん、「飲み放題」って、おいらが外人に日本にはこんなメニューがあるぞって言ってウケるネタ。。。つまり、店のメニューが日本人向けにカスタマイズされてると・・・。
香港のおいしい店かつ店のメニューや交通に困らないとすると、causeway bay （銅鑼灣 ）のタイムズスクエアに行くのが一番無難です。その上のレストラン街はどこも結構おいしいです。何度か行っているけど外した事はありません。予算も、結構ビールとかお酒飲んでも2,000-5,000円の間に納まります。日本で居酒屋に行って飲む事を考えれば、かなり無難だと思います。もちろん英語のメニューあるし。日本語のメニューがある店も確かありました。
現地の店に行くと、中国語のメニューしかなかったり、店員が英語話せないとかいろいろトラブルあるから、香港ではタイムズスクエアに行く事をお勧めかな。
