アメリカに行って思ったこと

さきほどアメリカから帰ってまいりました。やっぱりいろいろアメリカは違いますね。よい意味でも悪い意味でも。

まずは、自分の英語の能力がすっごく落ちたことに反省。:-(

ヒヤリングもさることながらスピーキングの能力。最悪。。。仕事の会議の特にビジネスの部分だったら、向こうもすっごく聞く気力があるからなんとかなるんだけど、いったんディナーとかにいってしまうと最悪。向こうもすっごく気を使って簡単な単語をピックアップしていると思うんだけど、こっちも全力。いつの間にかお互いが疲れてきて、会話が中断してしまうんだよな～。だって、単語が出てこないんだもん。はは。

引っ越す前はケーブルテレビに加入していたんだけど、ここで新たにスカパーに加入することを決意しました。:-p

仕事のスタイルに関しては、とにかく残業しない。。。打ち合わせがあるから1時間後。なんていったら、「I gotta go home. （帰らないといけない）」って言われちゃう。せっかく来ているのだから、他に時間無いのに。まぁ、彼に言わせれば、そんなの事前にアレンジしてよ！ってのかもしれないけど。これがアジアの人だったら待っていてくれるんだろうな・・。

仕事はとにかくパワーを感じますね。そんなに長時間働いているように見えないけど。

あとは、プレゼンテーションがうまい。これは昔から思っていたのですけど。まぁ、話すのも好きなんだけどね。でも、数人のプレゼンテーションを見たけどとにかくうまいですね。ポイントが明確で、そこに持っていくのもうまいし表現も。
